Product Description
High operational reliability is one of the features that distinguish the synchronous servo motors of the MDD series. These motors are available with varying torques and speeds. They are used to build cost-effective, rapid-response automation systems by combining them with digital drive controllers from Indramat.
The MDD090B-N-020-N2L-110GA1 is a model of the synchronous servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. It is well-suited for applications where high precision and synchronism are required, such as grinding machines. Like others in its servo motor family, it has a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings that allow maintenance-free operation. The bearing has a nominal lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. This motor’s nominal speed is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and it can generate a theoretical maximum torque of 39.0Nm. Based on the sealed nature of its housing, it has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529. This indicates that it cannot be damaged by the entry of solid extrinsic materials like conductive dust and water jet sprays.
Precise position detection is achieved with digital servo feedback in the MDD090B-N-020-N2L-110GA1. The integrated encoder works with the optical measurement method and features an inbuilt data memory. Vital information like the motor type name and its control loop parameters are stored in this memory, ensuring the motor’s rapid startup and safe adaptation to the drive controller. It has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular seconds and eliminates the need for a separate encoder. The permanent magnets of the motor’s rotor are made from rare earth and iron oxide materials, giving it low inertia. It also has electronic commutation, which gives it a high cyclic load capacity.
