Product Description
Bosch Rexroth manufactures high-quality products for the global factory automation market. The MDD motors by the company are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. This motor series has nine motors with varying torques and speeds for various applications. They are used in conjunction with intelligent Rexroth Indradrive systems to create cost-effective and rapid-response automation systems. Drives with the servo motors in this series can be used in tools, textiles, printing and packaging machines, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD090A-N-020-N2M-110GA0 is equipped with digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This allows absolute indirect position evaluation on the motor. The encoder also has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Well suited for high-precision operations, this MDD model is used where an extreme degree of synchronism is required, such as grinding machines. It has a nominal speed of 2,000 rpm and a standard centering diameter of 110 mm. This motor is equipped with a plain output shaft for backlash-free and non-positive transmission of the torque.
Temperature monitoring in the MDD090A-N-020-N2M-110GA0 is via a sensitive temperature sensor built into its stator winding to protect it from damage due to thermal overload. The MDD motor has a high overload capability due to adequate heat conduction from the stator windings to the outer wall of its housing. It runs a maintenance-free operation due to its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Due to its maintenance-free operation, this synchronous servo motor functions with a high degree of operating reliability. The motor should be operated at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C, maximum relative humidity of 95%, and set up at a maximum height of 1,000m.
