The MDD071C-N-040-N2S-095PB0 is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor in the MDD series. It is equipped with a rotor whose permanent magnets are built from rare-earth materials to give the motor low inertia. This gives it fast response times and enables high dynamic performance in terms in terms of speed, acceleration, and deceleration. The MDD motor employs the use of lifetime-lubricated bearings with a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. It also has a compact, brushless design to aid its maintenance-free operation. Its temperature monitoring system comprises a thermal sensor integrated into its stator windings to prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. Natural convection and surface cooling are designated mechanisms for its cooling.

As an electronically commutated AC servo motor, the MDD071C-N-040-N2S-095PB0 has a high cyclic load capacity. This makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
