Bosch Rexroth’s MDD motors are a family of synchronous servo motors with different continuous torques and speeds. They guarantee high contouring accuracies at high speed rates, especially when used for cutting at high speed ranges. Drives with these motors are used in textile machines, transfer facilities, handling equipment, and robotics.

The MDD071B-N-040-N2T-095GB1 is a model of the high-performance MDD motors by Bosch Rexroth. It has a centering diameter of 95mm and a standard housing design that accommodates cooling by natural convection and surface cooling. This housing is also sealed to protect the motor from dust ingress and the penetration of water jets sprayed at it from different directions. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per DIN 40 050. This MDD model uses a wide variety of ready-made cables to simplify installation and power and feedback cables that also meet the IP 65 protection standard. Its compact size aids its installation and gives it a high power-to-weight ratio. The nominal speed of the servo motor is 4,000 revolutions per minute.

An integrated thermal sensor in the stator windings of the MDD071B-N-040-N2T-095GB1 is used to monitor its temperature and protect it from overload damage.
