Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a leading automation brand with a vast portfolio of advanced drive products. Its MDD series comprises synchronous servo motors with varying torques and speeds. They are suitable for applications like transfer facilities and machine tools.
The MDD071B-N-040-N2T-095GA1 is an MDD model featuring a blocking brake with a torque of 3.0Nm. It uses the closed-circuit principle to hold the servo axes backlash–free when the motor is disconnected from power. With its brushless design, the servo motor works with high efficiency since it eliminates the friction and wear associated with brushes. This design also aids its maintenance-free operation, supported by its use of lifetime-lubricated bearings. The bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. Thanks to its high power density, the MDD model is a good fit for highly dynamic operations like roller feeds for punching, pressing, and nibbling machines and tool-changing devices. It also has a compact build with a high power-to-weight ratio.
Electronic commutation promotes the noiseless operation of the MDD071B-N-040-N2T-095GA1 and gives it a high cyclic load capacity. This makes it ideal for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Its housing is painted with a black prime varnish, whose protective properties prevent weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup. The housing coat is also resistant to the effects of dilute acids and lyes. Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder is used for position detection and speed control in this motor. It evaluates its absolute indirect position and transfers the information obtained to the intelligent digital drive, eliminating the need for a separate absolute encoder. The MDD motor’s nominal speed is 4,000 revolutions per minute.
