Product Description
Bosch Rexroth constantly delivers products designed to meet a wide range of automation needs. It is the manufacturer of the permanent magnet-excited servo motors of the MDD series with electronic commutation. These motors are used in textile machines and robotics.
The MDD071B-N-040-N2T-095GA0 is a Bosch Rexroth synchronous servo motor in the MDD series. It features lifetime-lubricated bearings with a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours to allow its maintenance-free operation. This works with its brushless design to improve its overall efficiency. It is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling and has integrated thermal sensors for monitoring its temperature and preventing damage due to overheating. With the motor’s plain shaft, a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of torque can be achieved. The shaft is equipped with a sealing ring that keeps fluids from penetrating the motor. Position detection in the motor is via digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. It eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder.
Weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup have limited effects on the MDD071B-N-040-N2T-095GA0 as its housing is painted with a black prime varnish. The coat also has protective properties against dilute acids and lyes. This housing is sealed and impervious to solid extrinsic materials and multidirectional water jets. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to DIN 40 050. The MDD motor is a product of Balance Class R per VDE 0530, indicating that it is suitable for demanding applications. Its nominal speed is 4,000 revolutions per minute, while its rotor’s moment of inertia is 8.9 x 10-4 kgm2. This rotor gives the motor a low inertia thanks to its permanent magnets derived from rare-earth materials.
