Product Description
The MDD motor series is a collection of AC servo motors built by INDRAMAT. These units are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. Due to the brushless design and lifetime lubricated bearing of the motors, they have a high degree of operating reliability and offer maintenance-free operations. When combined with INDRAMAT digital drive controllers, the MDD motors create the finest automatization systems that can be used for various applications. These applications include tool machines, printing and packaging machinery, robotics, handling equipment, transfer facilities, and textile machines.
The MDD071B-N-030-N2T-095GA2 is an MDD071 servo motor. It is suitable for highly-dynamic applications, as are other MDD071 motors. Examples of such applications are roller feeds for pressing, nibbling machines, tool changing devices, etc. This motor has a standard housing design suited to natural convection and surface cooling. It has digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This feature eliminates the need for a separate absolute encoder as the absolute position of the motor is stored in the digital drive and can be transferred to the NC master control. Also, this motor is balanced in accordance with DIN VDE 0530 Balance class R. This means that it is suitable for more demanding applications as well as main spindle applications.
The MDD071B-N-030-N2T-095GA2 weighs 11kg, delivering its nominal torque at a speed of 3000 min⁻¹. For power connection, connectors are plugged into Side B. In addition, it has a plain output shaft and an integrated 6.5 Nm blocking brake. According to DIN 40 050, it has a protection degree of 1P65; thus, it is protected against damage by water jets penetration or dust ingress.
