Product Description
The Indramat MDD motors are a set of advanced, permanent-magnet servo motors that exhibit electronic commutation. The MDD motors combine with the INDRAMAT drive controllers to produce the finest automatization systems. They are commonly used in robotics, tool machines, textile machines, handling equipment, transfer facilities, etc.
The MDD071B-N-030-N2S-095GL1 is an MDD motor of frame size 071. It operates with a nominal speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. With a plain output shaft, it permits a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of torque. At 20°C, it has a torque constant of 0.60Nm/A and winding resistance of 1.60 Ohm. According to DIN VDE 0530, it is a product of balance class R; thus, it is suitable for demanding applications. Because of its standard housing design, it is cooled off via natural convection or surface cooling. It also has a high degree of operating reliability due to its ability to execute a maintenance-free operation, even in adverse environmental conditions.
The encoder system of the MDD071B-N-030-N2S-095GL1 is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. It records the position of the motor and ensures the smooth operation of the drive controller. This motor model is compatible with both axial and radial blower units. Similar to other MDD motors, its electronic commutation allows for the execution of constant start-stop operations with high frequencies. Also, it offers a protection degree of IP 65 per DIN 40 050; hence it cannot be damaged by water jets. In addition, it is equipped with a 3.0Nm blocking brake which operates with a closed-circuit principle. It clamps the axis of the motor when the machine is in a de-energized state.
