Product Description
The MDD AC servo motors are a set of permanent-magnet excited motors with electronic commutation. These motors are designed by INDRAMAT for highly dynamic and high precision operations; hence, they are widely valuable for different machines in the automation industry. This versatility is due to the varying continuous torque and speed present among the motors. Typical applications of the MDD motors are present in tool machines, textile machines, robotics, handling equipment, etc.
The MDD071A-N-030-N2S-095GB1 is an MDD motor of size 071. Like other motors in this class, it can be used in punching machines, tool changing devices, nibbling machines, and so on. It has a compact construction and hence a high power to weight ratio. Due to its high cyclic load capacity, it is suited to constant start-stop operations. It has a nominal speed of 3000 min⁻¹ and a centering diameter of 95mm. In addition, it is equipped with a plain output shaft which enables the attachment of various drive elements such as gearboxes and so on. This motor is housed in a prime black coat that protects it from the harmful effects of weathering, yellowing, diluted acids, etc. Additional layers of paint can be added to this coat; however, INDRAMAT recommends that the thickness of the coat does not exceed a maximum of 40µm.
The MDD071A-N-030-N2S-095GB1 is equipped with a digital servo feedback encoder and a 3.0Nm blocking brake. For proper operations, it requires a maximum operating temperature of 45° C. According to DIN VDE 0530, it is a product of insulation class F and balance class R. In addition, power connectors are plugged to side B, and as a result of its housing design, heat is lost via natural convection or surface cooling.
