Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is well-known for its safe, intelligent, and high-performance drive and motion control products. One of these is the MDD servo motor with a brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings. Drives with the MDD motors are commonly used in textile machines, robotics, handling equipment, and machine tools.
The MDD065D-N-040-R2L-095GB0 is a model of the powerful synchronous servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MDD series. It uses digital servo feedback as motor feedback to evaluate its relative indirect position. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±0.5 angular minutes, and its measuring principle is optical. It also has a data storage feature where the motor’s parameters are stored so that they are set on startup to reduce the risk of damage. Like other MDD models, this motor has electronic commutation, a feature that gives it a high cyclic load capacity. Hence, it is suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It also ensures high contouring accuracies at high feed rates.
A black prime varnish covers the sealed housing of the MDD065D-N-040-R2L-095GB0, with high-level resistance to weathering, yellowing, and chalky buildup. This housing is rated IP 65 according to EN 60529, indicating that it does not permit the entry of solid extrinsic materials or water jet sprays. The motor has a centering diameter of 95mm and a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute. It is cooled by natural convection and surface cooling and has a temperature monitoring system to prevent damage due to thermal overload. This includes a thermal sensor built into its stator. The output shaft in this model is the plain type with a shaft sealing ring, providing a backlash-free and non-positive shaft-hub connection.
