Product Description
Digital AC servo motors such as those in the MDD series form highly functional rapid-response automation systems when combined with digital drive controllers from Indramat. These permanent magnet-excited servo motors ensure high contouring accuracies at high speed rates, among other things. Typically, they are used in handling equipment, machine tools, robotics, food packaging machines, and textile machines.
The MDD065D-N-040-N2M-095GB1 is a servo motor in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth. It has a plain output shaft with a shaft sealing ring to provide a non-positive shaft hub connection with zero backlash. Its sealing ring prevents potentially harmful fluids from penetrating the motor through the shaft. The motor also has a thermal sensor in its stator winding for monitoring its temperature to prevent irreversible damage by thermal overload. Its cooling methods are natural convection and surface cooling; hence, it supports extreme loads. Since it has electronic commutation, it also has a high overload capacity for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates.
Installing the MDD065D-N-040-N2M-095GB1 is simplified due to the use of ready-made cables. The motor’s design allows high radial loads to be applied; therefore, pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to its shaft. Its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearing allow it to be operated maintenance-free. It features digital servo feedback with an integrated absolute multiturn encoder as its motor feedback type. Working with the optical method, this encoder detects the motor’s absolute indirect position and preserves it even after a shutdown. As a product of the IP 65 protection class, according to DIN 40050, it can be safely operated under harsh environmental conditions. The recommended ambient temperature for its operation is between 0oC and 45oC.
