Product Description
One of the most functional products in Bosch Rexroth’s portfolio is the MDD servo motor. When intelligent digital drive controllers are connected to the servo motors in the MDD series, rapid-response automation systems are created. Drives with these motors are widely used in machine tools, printing and packaging machines, and textile machines.
The MDD065D-N-040-N2L-095GB0 is a model of the maintenance-free synchronous motors in the MDD series. It is ideal for highly dynamic operations, including tool-changing devices and roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines. This is because the servo motor has a high power density. Its theoretical maximum torque is 7.8Nm, while its nominal speed is 4,000 revolutions per minute. The rotor of this MDD model is made from rare earth materials; hence, the motor has low inertia. This rotor’s moment of inertia is 3.8 x 10-4 kgm2, and the motor’s centering diameter is 95mm. It belongs to Balance Class R per the DIN VDE 0530 standard.
Using digital servo feedback with a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes, the relative indirect position of the MDD065D-N-040-N2L-095GB0 can be evaluated. This information is stored in the connected digital intelligent drive, eliminating the need for separate incremental encoders. The maintenance-free operation of the motor is possible because it has a brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their lifetime of operation. These bearings support the application of high radial loads. As a result, pinions and belt pulleys can be directly attached to its shaft. This shaft is the plain type with a shaft sealing ring. It allows a backlash-free and non-positive transmission of torque while the sealing ring prevents liquid penetration into the shaft.
