Bosch Rexroth's MDD digital AC servo motors are advanced and dynamic motors with a wide range of applications. They are permanent magnet-excited synchronous motors with electronic commutation. The electronic commutation gives them a high cyclic load capacity, making them suitable for high-frequency operations. Their areas of application include printing and packaging machines, textile machines, machine tools, robotics, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD065C-N-060-N2M-095PB1 is a model in the MDD series designed with a high power density. As a result, it is suitable for dynamic applications such as roller feeds for pressing, punching and nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. Its output shaft is a shaft with a keyway according to DIN 6885-1 and a shaft sealing ring to provide form-fitting shaft-hub connections. It is also equipped with a blocking brake with 3.0Nm torque for a backlash-free holding of the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power. This motor has a nominal speed of 6,000 rpm and a standard centering diameter of 95mm.
Digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn encoder is the motor feedback option of the MDD065C-N-060-N2M-095PB1. It allows the detection of the motor’s absolute indirect position and stores it in the intelligent digital drive. The motor’s housing is painted with a black prime coating which is resistant to weathering, yellowing, chalky build-ups, diluted acids, and lyes. It also has an Ingress Protection Rating of IP 65, implying that it is protected against contact to high voltage with motor parts, the penetration of extrinsic objects, and water sprayed from different directions. It is a maintenance-free motor and thus, has a high degree of operational reliability. It also functions adequately under adverse environmental conditions.
