Product Description
One of the applications of the servo motors in the MDD series by Bosch Rexroth is the creation of rapid-response automation systems. To achieve this, the digital AC servo motors are combined with state-of-the-art digital drive controllers from Indramat. Drives with the motors are also used in robotics, textile machines, printing and processing machines, handling equipment, and transfer facilities.
The MDD065C-N-040-N2L-095PB1 is a permanent-magnet motor in the MDD family of servo motors by Bosch Rexroth. It is a compact motor with electronic commutation and, as a result, a high cyclic load capacity. This permits the motor to be used for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It is also equipped with a high overload capability as heat is adequately removed from the stator windings to the walls of the motor’s housing. Based on the housing design, it is cooled by natural convection or surface cooling and is touch-proof and dust-proof. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to EN 60529. The nominal speed of the motor is 4,000 revolutions per minute and it has a theoretical maximum torque of 6.1Nm.
To detect the position of the MDD065C-N-040-N2L-095PB1 and control its speed, it uses digital servo feedback. The integrated encoder system uses the optical measuring principle and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. With its data storage feature, it facilitates the quick startup of the motor and ensures that it safely adjusts to its drive controller. The output shaft in this MDD model is one with a radial shaft sealing ring and a keyway, according to DIN 6885. It also features a blocking brake with a torque of 3.0Nm.
