Product Description
Bosch Rexroth continues to make a name for itself by creating functional and future-proof drive and motion control units. Its MDD servo motors are compact motors available in varying torques, speeds, and sizes. They are versatile servo motors suitable for several applications, including machine tools, textile machines, food packaging and processing machines, and robotics.
The MDD065B-N-060-N2L-095GB1 is one of the high-performance synchronous servo motors of the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It uses natural convection and surface cooling for heat dissipation; hence, it supports continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. As a product of Balance Class R according to DIN VDE 0530, the motor supports demanding applications like servo motors in main spindle applications. It has a thermal sensor built into its stator windings to monitor its temperature and prevent damage due to thermal overload. Like other MDD models, it also has a sealed housing that prevents the entry of solid extrinsic materials and multidirectional water jet sprays. The housing is coated with a black prime varnish resistant to yellowing, weathering, and lye.
A plain output shaft is present in the MDD065B-N-060-N2L-095GB1 for a backlash-free shaft-hub connection. It comes with a shaft sealing ring that prevents liquids from entering the motor through its shaft. The motor is also equipped with digital servo feedback for detecting its relative indirect position. Thanks to its optical measuring principle, this encoder operates with high-level precision and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. The servo motor’s centering diameter is 95mm, while its nominal speed is 6,000 revolutions per minute. To guarantee its optimum performance, it should operate at a maximum ambient temperature of 40oC.
