Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designed its MDD servo motors to form rapid-response automation systems when combined with intelligent drive controllers from Indramat. Drives with the servo motors are commonly used in textile machines, machine tools, and food processing and packaging machines.
The MDD065A-N-040-N2M-095PB1 is a synchronous servo motor in the MDD series with impressive operational reliability. This is a result of its brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life of 30,000 operating hours. It also has a sealed housing with the connections for its power and feedback cables designed to suit the IP 65 protection category in line with DIN 40 050. Hence, it can be used directly within the working area of the machine, even in poor environmental conditions, with minimal risks of damage. A temperature sensor is built into the stator of this MDD motor to monitor its temperature and prevent permanent damage due to thermal overload. It reaches a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute.
Rare-earth materials are used in the construction of the permanent magnets of the MDD065A-N-040-N2M-095PB1 to give it low inertia. It also has a favorable torque-inertia ratio that suits high dynamics. Heat is efficiently conducted from its stator to the outside walls of its housing, giving it high overload capacities. A black prime varnish coats this housing and protects it from weathering, yellowing, chalky buildup, dilute acids, and lyes. The motor has a compact build and an impressive power-to-weight ratio. It is equipped with an output shaft with keyway and a sealing ring for form-fitting torque transmission. Its blocking brake of 3.0Nm holds the servo axis when the machine is disconnected from power.
