Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is the creator of state-of-the-art machines designed to simplify work for manufacturers worldwide. Its MDD servo motors are synchronous motors that form rapid-response automation systems when they are combined with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. These motors have electronic commutation, a feature that gives them high cyclic load capacity.
The MDD065A-N-040-N2M-095PB0 is a permanent magnet-excited servo motor in the MDD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It supports maintenance-free operation thanks to its brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life. Its housing is completely sealed and has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529. Hence, it can be safely used in poor environmental conditions. This is supported by the construction of its motor power cable and feedback cable per the IP 65 standard. The motor’s output shaft is one with a keyway per DIN 6995-1 and a shaft sealing ring. This shaft permits a form-fitting shaft-hub connection and torque transmission, while its sealing ring protects the motor from fluid penetration.
Some of the applications that the MDD065A-N-040-N2M-095PB0 is best suited for are tool changing devices and roller feeds for pressing, punching, and nibbling machines. Its motor feedback type is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder for detecting its absolute indirect position. The encoder uses the optical measurement principle to function and has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes. Heat elimination in this MDD model can be achieved via surface cooling or natural convection because of its housing design. It also has a thermal sensor built into its windings to monitor its temperature and protect it from damage due to thermal overload.
