Product Description
Skilled in the design of future-proof automation equipment, Bosch Rexroth remains a force to reckon with in the industry. Its MDD motors have notable features that guarantee their suitability for different kinds of applications. These include textile machines, printing machines, and machine tools.
The MDD065A-N-040-N2L-095GA1 is a model of the MDD servo motors with a nominal speed of 4,000 revolutions per minute. It has a thermal sensor built into its winding to monitor its temperature and prevent damage caused by overheating. Since it has a high power density, it is ideal for dynamic applications like roller feeds for punching, pressing and nibbling machines, and tool-changing devices. Its housing protects it from solid extrinsic materials and water jets from different directions; hence, its Ingress Protection rating, according to DIN 40 050, is IP 65. The sealed housing also makes it possible to use the motor under poor environmental conditions risk-free. This MDD motor also uses natural convection and surface cooling for heat elimination.
Special materials are used in constructing the permanent magnets of the rotor in the MDD065A-N-040-N2L-095GA1. As a result, it has low inertia and a favorable torque-inertia ratio. It also has a brushless design and bearings that remain lubricated throughout their service life. It is equipped with a plain output shaft to provide a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. Like other models, it has a sealing ring that keeps fluids from penetrating through the shaft. In addition, it has a blocking brake of 3.0Nm to hold the servo axes in place when the motor is disconnected from power. Ideally, the servo motor should be installed at a maximum altitude of 1,000m.
