The MAF160C-0200-FQ-M2-DK0-35-N1 is one of the asynchronous permanent magnet housing motors from Bosch Rexroth which is intended to run on AC supply. This motor has a standard bearing attached at its output end by a flange and it has a long life span, high speed and low noise level when operating under medium axial and radial loads as depicted in its datasheet. These characteristics guarantee the possibility of the system's work with minimal failures during a long period. The motor's shaft also has a sealing ring and the end of the cylindrical shaft is supplied with a balanced half feather key or keyway.

An interesting characteristic of this motor is that it has a forced cooling system labeled as FQ where the motor uses liquid coolant to cool the motor when in use. This liquid cooling system not only improves the performance of the motor but also lessens the damage that is usually caused by other cooling methods. MAF series motor with winding code of 160 is designed to meet high performance in demanding applications as it has a rated torque of 240 Nm and a rated speed of 2000 RPM while using 50.30 kW of power. It runs effectively since it has the ability of drawing a rated current of 108.5 amperes in all the three phases .

A major strength of the motor is its ability to hold a stationary position while producing a maximum torque of 250 Nm without rotating, which proves the motor's clamping force. It should be also mentioned that the torque constant is set for an ambient temperature of 20 degrees centigrade.
