Product Description
The MAF160C-0200-FQ-M0-FG0-05-R1 is a high torque asynchronous motor from Bosch Rexroth's MAF series which forms the part of IndraDyn A family of motors. This motor is unique due to the fact that it comes with a liquid cooling system which is ideal for use in applications that demand high torque density in a limited package. It has an integrated cooling system which acts as a heat barrier between the motor and the other parts of the machinery to enhance heat transfer and enhance performance even under difficult conditions. This approach not only enhances the motor's efficiency but also reduces the wear and tear of the motor more than the conventional cooling system hence lowering the frequencies of maintenance. This is especially the case in applications where space is constrained, and high power density is a necessity. Through proper heat control, these motors can avoid overheating and thus they will be able to work continuously without any problem. This makes them suitable for use in heavy industries, manufacturing industries and any other operations that require high levels of precision and torque.
The motor's shaft has a shaft seal that is designed and developed in accordance with the international standard of DIN 3760. The cylindrical shaft end is not provided with any feather key or keyway but the same can be provided as per requirement. This particular shaft seal is suitable for use in conditions that are unfavorable such as areas with high levels of dust or moisture. If the motor is part of a gear system, only closed for life lubricants are allowed to be used in order to achieve the best results. The seal is made from Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a material which is largely used for its excellent compatibility with oils and chemicals. The seal's useful life is hard to estimate owing to the factors that affect usage; however, if properly maintained, the seal can last for 5,000 to 10,000 hours. Where there is a standing fluid and fluid splashes are frequent, labyrinth seals may have to be used to shield the motor.
