Product Description
Rexroth Bosch's MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1 is an induction motor that uses an absolute multi-turn encoder that runs at 2048 periods. The multi-turn absolute encoder uses a sinusoidal signal with a 1V amplitude and requires a supply voltage of at least 3.6 volts to 14 volts. Motor encoders provide a means to measure rotary movement, speed, or both. During nameplate operation, the MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1's rotor revolves at 1500 rpm to transmit a nameplate torque of 300 Nm. The MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1 features a P-shaft type, implying the presence of a sealing ring and a balanced complete set of keys. Keyed shafts are advantageous for applications requiring maximum torque transfer. Compared with smooth shafts, however, keyed shafts are harder to install and maintain.
Aside from its encoder and shaft type, the MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1 has an impressive blocking brake that holds a maximum torque of 100 Nm. The blocking brake works in hold-only mode and can only be used when the rotor's output torque is less than the rated holding torque of the brake. The electrically released blocking brake requires a signal voltage to initiate holding action. The corresponding connection and disconnection delays for the MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1's blocking brake are 70 and 190 ms, respectively. The MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1's power connector features a turn-able terminal box found on side B.
With the MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1's reinforced bearing, the rotor can reach a maximum speed of 6000 rpm. The machine, however, experiences some form of derating at its key speed of 1000 rpm. Upon reaching this key speed, the motor's torque and power output start to decline from the standstill values to reach their corresponding rated values. Like all MAF motors by Rexroth Bosch Indramat, the MAF160C-0150-FQ-M2-EP1-05-V1 features a liquid cooling system that operates with an inlet temperature between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius.
