With liquid cooling as a special feature, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-FK0-35-R1 is a high-torque, Asynchronous AC servo motor perfect for high-torque applications. This motor design is ideal for robotics, manufacturing machines, textile machines, and packaging machines, as all of these industrial setups require high torque rotations. The motor offers 325 Nm of torque and a rated speed of 1000 rotations per minute. Since this motor is designed for such heavy-duty work, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-FK0-35-R1 relies on liquid cooling for continuous cooling and smooth operation. The operation of the motor is very low noise thanks to the liquid cooling feature keeping the noise level below 70 dB.
To help the motor rotate at high speeds of up to 6000 rotations per minute, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-FK0-35-R1 features reinforced bearings. These bearings are recommended to be lubricated after every 30000 cycles of use by the manufacturer or be replaced for enhanced performance. To control the shaft of this motor accurately for positioning, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-FK0-35-R1 features a single-turn absolute encoder. This encoder has a step resolution of 2048 steps per 360-degree rotation, making every step fine and precise, which is necessary for applications such as robotics, where the error margin is very narrow.
Rexroth recommends installing the motor in a clean environment, however, the motor is equipped with an IP 65 protection rating, protecting the motor against dust and water splashes. The motor also comes with a prime black coat of paint protecting corrosive materials. The anodized aluminum body also provides extra protection against corrosion, keeping the motor enclosure clean and protected in a demanding industrial environment. The motor should be installed at a maximum height of 1000 meters above sea level for optimum performance.
