This motor is also capable of generating extreme speeds by attaining a maximum speed of 6000 rpm generating a rotational torque of 746 Nm perfect for high-density drilling, such as milling machines. This motor has a current rating of 94.3 Amperes and would require a high power voltage source to operate at 50 to 60 Hz input frequency.
The liquid cooling feature in this motor helps dissipate 4.5 kW of power. The cooling agent at the inlet should have a temperature between 10 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. The permissible increase in temperature difference at the inlet for the cooling agent should be 10 Kelvins. The decompression rating without fast coupling is 0.6 bars, while with fast coupling is 1.2 bars. The required coolant flow rating is 6.5 liters per minute while the maximum system pressure should be approximately 3 bars for a stable coolant system.
For accurate rotor shaft positioning, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-EH0-05-A1 comes with a single-turn absolute encoder that has a step resolution of 2048 steps for every rotation. With a large number of steps per rotation, the motor shaft rotates much more finely reducing the rate of error for positioning. The encoder generates 5 volts square wave pulses whenever a step is detected, this signal is then transmitted over to the motor controller for further processing. The shaft on this motor is a plain shaft great for torque transmission and uniform load distribution for heavy load rotations as this keeps the motor stable and the load center aligned.
