Designed to provide a torque of up to 746 Nm when rotating at a maximum speed of 6000 rotations per minute, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-BH0-35-N3 is a perfect blend of speed and high rotational torque. This Asynchronous Liquid-cooled AC servo motor has a rated base speed of 1000 rpm which when using the standard type bearing is capable of achieving up to 6000 rotations per minute. Using the high-speed bearings can further allow this servo motor to attain a speed of 9000 rotations per minute.
This motor also provides accurate shaft positioning capability with the help of a single-turn absolute encoder. Unlike an incremental encoder that constantly sends out signals for position change, the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-BH0-35-N3 features an absolute encoder that outputs one specific position as a digital word to the motor control unit. This allows the motor to communicate with the motor control much more efficiently by reducing the error rate as the motor only sends out word data once the position or the angle is achieved, keeping the communication buffer free and low traffic. The encoder utilizes the EnDat 2.1 digital protocol which comes with CRC error detection to establish efficient communication between the motor and the controller modules.
Since this motor is designed to be used in Industrial applications and areas such as oil refineries, warehouses, production plants, etc, such industrially harsh environments are bound to affect the overall quality of the motor. That is not the case with the MAF160C-0100-FQ-S2-BH0-35-N3 as it comes with an IP 65 protection rating protecting the motor against gritty and dusty environments and also against low-pressure water jets.The motor has a humidity rating between 5% to 95% and should be mounted at a maximum altitude of 1000 meters above sea level.
