Product Description
The MAF160B-0200-FQ-S2-HG0-05-A1 is a highly demanding asynchronous motor of high class developed by Rexroth Bosch, thus suitable for high-speed operations. In this design, liquid cooling is used with a 1/4" connection thread to control heat produced during operations. The motor features a single-turn absolute encoder with 2048 pulses (increments) for position and speed sensing. This MAF series has no holding brakes incorporated into the design. This is under the flange-based mounting style, which is signified by the '05' code. This motor has bearings for durability and the vibration severity grade for this motor is R = 1, indicating low vibrations.
In other words, the MAF160B-0200-FQ-S2-HG0-05-A1 motor contains a single-turn absolute encoder that has 2048 pulse intervals. In motion control processes, accurate position detection is critical as they give high precision. The motor shaft moves in increments of 2048 steps in one revolution. Its accuracy means that all aspects of the system can be controlled, making its capability suitable for various tasks related to different industries. The encoder transmits electric signals, regarding the current position of the motor, which is useful in accurate operations and improvement in system performance.
The method of Flange mounting is chosen for motors because its stability is high, and the motor does not change its position within the system. This low-inertia motor, for its extraordinary performance characteristics, responsiveness, and ease of turning in direction or change in speed, looks ideal in applications where rapid changes of speed are required. These mounts involve fixing the motor to a flat surface using a bolt to maintain balance and counter vibrations. It also eliminates the expenses of installation and maintenance, so it is suitable for any industrial and commercial applications.
