Product Description
The MAF160B-0150-FQ-M2-FP0-35-V2 is a product of Bosch Rexroth Indramat's IndraDyn A series. This motor has an asynchronous type of construction with the squirrel cage permanent magnet rotor which is ideal for use where there is need for high torque in small spaces. Among them, the liquid cooling system is considered to be one of the most important features as it provides a number of benefits compared to the air cooling system. Liquid cooling enhances heat dissipation which is very vital as it prevents the motor from overheating especially with high power density motors such as the MAF series. This improved heat dissipation system means that the motor is capable of operating at optimum temperature within the range of 0 to 40 degree centigrade; thus it is able to deliver high torque for longer periods without getting overheated.
This allows the motor to have a constant performance and protect the vital components from being damaged due to heat. This leads to enhanced performance and productivity as well as enhanced durability. However, if the operating temperature is not controlled within the required range then the efficiency of the motor may be affected that may lead to some problems in the performance of the motor as well as in its life. Hence, the liquid cooling feature of the MAF160B-0150-FQ-M2-FP0-35-V2 not only increases the efficiency and power density of the component but also ensures the reliability of the system under various conditions.
The motor is of frame size 160 with B-type length and has a 150-type winding. This motor has been developed to provide high torque capability where the motor produces 260 Nm at standstill, the rated torque of 250 Nm and a maximum torque of 570 Nm. The device is capable of operating with a maximum current of 89.5 A, thus it has the capability to work efficiently in high demanding applications. The following is one of the most interesting characteristics of this motor - its rotor moment of inertia is low and amounts to 0.23 kgm^2 which helps the motor to have a high rate of acceleration and deceleration. Also, the motor has a torque constant of 3.30 Nm/A product of electrical power to mechanical torque conversion.
