Product Description
MAF Induction Motors refer to a series of liquid-cooled asynchronous motors manufactured by Rexroth Indramat Bosch and are used in machine tool printing, paper processing, and metal forming applications. These MAF motors are part of the IndraDyn A motor series along with the MAD Motor Series and have high torques, which makes them ideal solutions for space-limited applications. Such motors can achieve high-speed operation because of their integrated cooling system, to prevent thermal transference between the machine and the motor. These motors have the encoder and specific vibration severity grade that provide flexibility to run different kinds of machines. An additional advantage is the absence of quick couplers of separate outlet fuses, as this reduces maintenance requirements.
The MAF130D-0200-FQ-M2-AF1-05-N1 motor is designed with an M2 encoder of high resolution, offering precision and fine-degree feedback on the motor position in numerous applications. While single-turn encoders work only in the limited range of position count as it is set for one revolution of the motor, multiturn encoders retain the position data as the motor goes through multiple full rotations, enhancing its performance output. The 2048 increments imply that the encoder can identify 2048 positions per revolution, enabling the system to achieve more precise control over the operations of the motor.
Fine control over movement is possible due to optical or magnetic sensors that can rotate to a certain point up to a specified number of turns. The motor is easy to fix and features insulated electrical wiring, and an integrated liquid cooling system. This meets environmental specs for reliability and long life and has a vibration severity rating of R = 1. The multiturn absolute encoder offers superior precision and reliability for applications requiring precise position accuracy within multiple revolutions.
