Product Description
The MAF130C-0250-FQ-N0-AL0-05-N1 from Rexroth is an Asynchronous AC motor, also known as an Induction motor, which relies on copper coils to produce the necessary electromagnetic force needed to spin the rotor. This motor design features 3 poles or coils that are used to excite the rotor as well as vary the speed by adjusting the frequency of the AC voltage applied. The motor has an operating voltage range between 240 Volts AC and 480 Volts AC.
The MAF130C-0250-FQ-N0-AL0-05-N1 has a speed rating of 2500 rotations per minute, which is quite mediocre compared to other configurations of the MAF130C motors. Even though it offers slower speeds, the MAF130C-0250-FQ-N0-AL0-05-N1 has a torque rating of up to 125 Nm, which can further be extended to 135 Nm when in a standstill condition where the rotor shaft is locked in position. The locked shaft position can draw a whopping 76.1 Amperes of current, which is sure enough to create heat due to power dissipation. To combat this, the MAF130C-0250-FQ-N0-AL0-05-N1 has a liquid cooling system. The liquid cooling helps dissipate approximately 2.3 kW of heat compared to the motor's rated power of 33.7 kW.
This motor has a mass of 110 kilograms, making it very heavy and not easy to lift. However, the motor design does offer features like a power cord and encoder cord positioned on the top to make it easier for the user to access them for maintenance purposes without the need for lifting the motor. Since the motors are super heavy, it is always recommended to use a lifting mechanism such as a pulley or a forklift when moving the motor around the premises.
