Product Description
The MAF130C-0150-FQ-M2-AP0-05-N1 is an Asynchronous AC motor designed to be used as a spindle or as a servo motor. This particular model is best suited for applications that require it to be used as a servo as it features an absolute encoder with 2048 increments. The encoder uses the EnDat 2.1 digital encoder interface that sends both the position of the encoder as well as error codes to both the servo and the controller being used to control this motor.
This AC motor has a speed rating of 1500 rpm and is designed for low-speed applications where precision is a priority over speed. During reduced capacity, the motor speed can fall to 1000 rotations per minute, but because this motor has a low rotor inertia of 0.101 kgm², it allows this motor to accelerate to its maximum speed in no time. The lower the rotor moment of inertia, the faster the motor spins to accelerate to reach its top speed. Even though this motor can attain high speeds, Rexroth has done a great job with keeping the design of this motor relatively quieter, as it has a noise level of 70 dB when standing 1000 meters from this motor.
The liquid cooling on this motor helps dissipate approximately 2.3 kW of power or heat. The inlet of the coolant should have a temperature range of 10 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius as anything lower than this would immediately start freezing the liquid cooling lines, and the construction of the motor is not designed for such low temperatures. This motor has a temperature range between 0 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. The required coolant flow for this motor design is 3.3 liters per minute.
