Product Description
The Rexroth MAF100B-0200-FQ-S2-AH0-05-A1 is a liquid-cooled Asynchronous motor that can be used as a servo or a spindle motor for drilling in a CNC machine. One of the reasons that make this motor a good candidate for a spindle motor is the speed it can output of 9000 rpm with a maximum power draw of 16.40 watts. At maximum power and speed, this motor can draw a hefty current of up to 51.7 Amperes.
To cool the motor down the MAF100B-0200-FQ-S2-AH0-05-A1 uses a special liquid for cooling which automatically starts cooling the motor once it reaches a minimum temperature of 10 degrees Celsius. The MAF100B-0200-FQ-S2-AH0-05-A1 does not come packed with a cooling liquid, users can choose a liquid of their choice or the one compatible with the motor. This motor uses the threaded type coolant connection which is placed on the back of the motor for a clean and clutter-free design.
For accurate control of the motor, the Rexroth MAF100B-0200-FQ-S2-AH0-05-A1 uses the Single absolute encoder which requires 7 to 12 volts DC to operate. This encoder with a resolution of 2048 steps allows the motor to accurately rotate its shaft to the requested position with minimum error. The Single absolute encoder relies on the EnDat2.1 interface which is a bidirectional interface capable of reading data from the encoder and sending it to the control unit for processing. The EnDat2.1 serial interface only relies on 4 single lines 2 of which are for synchronizing clock signals and the other 2 are for transmitting and receiving data. The clock frequency of the EnDat2.1 interface is 100 kHz to 2 MHz with a position value update rate of less than 5 µs.
