Rexroth Bosch's MAD225C-0150-SA-S2-SP0-35-N1 motor has a single turn absolute encoder having 2048 increments which is used in industrial applications where a high degree of accuracy is needed within the range of a single revolution. While the absolute encoders store position data even when powered off. This encoder splits each revolution into 2048 steps allowing accurate positioning even after power is turned off for an extended period and no reference signal is needed. The benefit of the 2048 incremental single-turn encoder is that it has a high level of adjustment, which is preferred if precise positioning within one revolution is needed. This feature is applied to motors driving actuators, robotic arms, or other industrial automation where accurate position feedback is essential.

This motor has a plain shaft balanced with the entire key. The plain shaft design allows the power to be transmitted evenly and without vibration. The balanced key means that the bearing that is fitted on the shaft works in a balanced manner without wear and or imbalance. This also improves motor safety and overshooting stability to reduce unnecessary stress on the bearings of the motor and to make the motor last longer.
