Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MAD motors reflect the company’s commitment to innovation. They are a group of induction motors with mounted fan units used in diverse applications. These include machine tools, metal-forming machines, and food-processing machines.
The MAD225C-0150-SA-M2-EP0-35-N1 is a MAD induction motor with a rated speed of 1,500 revolutions per minute and a maximum speed of 3,750 revolutions per minute. Its squirrel-cage rotor has a moment of inertia of 1.6500000 kgm² and a highly durable build to extend its service life. It is equipped with an output shaft with keyway according to DIN 6885-1, allowing the form-locking transmission of torques with constant direction and low requirements for the shaft-hub connection. This shaft has a sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 - Design A, making the motor suitable for attachment in dusty environments and moist rooms. The motor generates a theoretical maximum torque of 1,450.0 Nm and accommodates a maximum current of 376.3A.
Position detection in the MAD225C-0150-SA-M2-EP0-35-N1 is via a multi-turn encoder with the EnDat2.1 interface. It generates sin-cos signals (1 Vss) with 2048 periods per revolution and absolute period assignment within 4096 revolutions. This encoder’s data memory stores all relevant motor parameters and aids the motor’s rapid startup. It eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder and retains the axis position even in the event of a voltage failure. The bearings in this MAD model are the standard type, consisting of deep-groove ball bearings and are suitable for absorbing low to medium radial and axial forces. They ensure the motor’s energy-efficient operation and reduce noise production. These bearings have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours.
