The MAD225C-0150-SA-C0-FH0-35-V1 from the renowned MAD series of Bosch Rexroth is a perfect example of a product that has been designed for industrial use. As a part of the IndraDyn A family, the MAD series consist of asynchronous motors which have been designed with a high level of versatility and performance to meet both the main-spindle and servo-drive applications. These motors are ideal for use in a variety of industries which include manufacturing and production, print and packaging, food processing and packaging equipment, metalworking and fabrication, paper treatment and processing machinery, and textiles and fibers.
Some of the characteristics of the MAD series motors include the fact that they are designed to meet the IP65 protection standards. This makes the motors to be protected from environmental factors such as dust and water which lead to low maintenance and longer service life. This model demonstrates the peak performance with the torque of 593 Nm and current of 174 A which makes it perfect for any task. At a rated speed of 1500 rpm, the machine produces a good rated power of 93.1 kW, which is quite suitable for industrial applications that demand a lot of power.
The cooling is done by an axial fan blower to ensure proper heat dissipation to enhance the thermal management. This motor is also fitted with a single turn absolute encoder and a tachometer to give position and speed information that is critical for high accuracy motion control. Besides, the motor has flange and foot mounting for increased installation versatility depending on the application requirements. It should be pointed out that this model has no holding brake.
Intended to work at a temperature of 0 to 40 degrees C and installed up to 1000 meters above sea level, the motor guarantees efficient work at these conditions. It is important to note that operation beyond these conditions may lead to the change in the load factor as well as the efficiency, reliability and overall performance. To prevent overheating and for safe operation the motor is provided with two KTY84-130 temperature sensors as thermal protection. These sensors are used to constantly measure the internal temperature of the motor and therefore protect the motor from overheating and possible damage.
