Product Description
Part of the MAD AC Asynchronous motor series, the MAD180D-0150-SA-M2-KQ0-35-V1 from Rexroth is a 340 Nm servo motor designed for high torque applications such as robotics and gearbox operations. This servo motor has a speed rating of 1500 rotations per minute and can attain a maximum speed of 6000 rotations per minute when using high-speed bearings. Rexroth recommends replacing the bearings after every 30,000 cycles of use in order to enhance motor performance and prolong the life of the motor.
This AC motor has a power rating of 38.7 kW and draws a current of 82.4 amperes to operate. The input voltage rating of this motor varies between 240 to 480 volts AC and requires a 3-phase input connection as the motor features a 3-pole design. Each pole may be excited with varying voltages to regulate the speed of the motor. The input frequency of the operating voltage should be between 50 to 60 Hz for optimum operating conditions. With a multiturn absolute encoder, the MAD180D-0150-SA-M2-KQ0-35-V1 can easily track the positioning of the motor shaft and the number of rotations performed. The encoder uses the EnDat 2.1 digital encoder interface to communicate with the motor controller module, employing CRC error detection to minimize errors in communication data packets.
This motor configuration supports both foot and flange mounting options and should always be mounted at a maximum height of 1000 meters above sea level to operate under rated conditions. The motor shaft comes with a balanced shaft key and has an IP 65 International protection rating against dusty and wet environments typical of an industrial setup.
