Product Description
The MAD180D-0100-SA-S2-KL2-35-N1 an asynchronous motor that operates on alternating current (AC) and relies on the principle of electromagnetic induction to produce motion. Unlike synchronous motors, the rotor in an asynchronous motor doesn't rotate at the same speed as the magnetic field. Instead, there's a slight lag, called "slip," between the speed of the magnetic field and the rotor, allowing the motor to generate torque. These motors are already well-known for their extensive applications in the industry because of their simplicity, durability, and above all cost-effectiveness.
Whether you talk about the construction detailing of the motor or its technical efficacies, MAD180D-0100-SA-S2-KL2-35-N1 ticks all the boxes. It comes with electrically clamped holding brakes which generate a torque of 35 Nm. These holding brakes securely hold a load in place when the power is off to prevent unintended movement and keep mechanical components in a fixed position during rest periods or while precision work is being performed. In case of a power failure, electrically clamped holding brakes engage automatically to stop and hold machinery, ensuring safety. For operation, they require a connection voltage of DC 24 ~ 10 % V and a rated current of 0.9 A. The moment of inertia of these holding brakes is 0.00056 kgm2 which is almost negligible and lets the holding brakes function smoothly.
Moreover, the holding brakes feature a connection and disconnection time of 40 ms and 52 ms. The values for the rated current, rated torque, rated power, and rated speed specific to this motor are 13.2 A, 50 Nm, 5.2 kW, and 1000 rpm which altogether positions this motor as a reliable option.
