Product Description
Part of Rexroth's Asynchronous servo motors from the MAD servo motor lineup, the MAD180C-0200-SA-M2-HQ0-35-V1 is a 250 Nm servo motor. This servo motor requires 240 to 480 Volts AC to operate while drawing a current of 104.6 Amperes. This motor has a power rating of 52.4 kW and can provide a speed of up to 6000 rotations per minute thanks to its very high-speed bearings. The nominal speed of this motor is 2000 rotations per minute. The MAD180 series of motors have a two-pole design which makes the wiring of the motor much easier to deal with.
This high torque servo motor also comes with a 5-volt encoder that is responsible for the accurate positioning of the motor's shaft. This encoder generates 5 volts square wave pulses whenever the encoder passes a step. This motor encoder has 2048 steps for one complete rotation of the shaft, breaking down the entire 360 degree rotation into smaller steps. This encoder requires a current of 30 mA and has an error rate of 0.005 % making it accurate for most of the applications.
The motor comes with a plain shaft key design perfect for attaching to gearboxes with the help of a flange mount. The shaft design is a balanced design that allows the load of the attached component to be divided uniformly to reduce axial stress and prevent the shaft from bending or breaking down. To keep the motor spinning at the high speed of 6000 rpm, Rexroth recommends performing maintenance activity every 20000 cycles and replacing the bearings after every 30000 cycles to reduce wear and tear and to help prolong the life of the motor.
