Product Description
Nowadays, the need for large and accurate motors is becoming more crucial to the continuous operation of manufacturing plants or machines. And as far as large motors are concerned, both large and small-scale manufacturing companies rely on Rexroth’s large motor series line. Rexroth Bosch offers two unique motor series that excel for the most rigorous applications: the MAD and MAF motor series. The MAD motor series features surface cooling, while the MAF motor series employs an external liquid cooling system. The MAD180C-0200-SA-C0-HG0-35-N3 is a sub-motor from the MAD motor series line that inherited the best features of the MAD motors and can meet large demands easily.
The MAD180C-0200-SA-C0-HG0-35-N3 is one of the heaviest motor models by Rexroth that is still relevant for many applications today. Weighing about 334 kilograms and extending to a length of 979 mm, this massive motor is ideal for the heaviest applications. Most large motors have low rated speeds to compensate for their high torque throughput. Impressively, however, the rated speed of this motor model is 2000 rpm, which is fast for its construction and design. At this rated speed, the torque reaches as high as 250 Nm with corresponding power and current of 52.4 kW and 104.6 A, respectively. It has a built-in incremental encoder that allows monitoring of motor parameters with 2048 increments.
The MAD180C-0200-SA-C0-HG0-35-N3 maintains a stable operating temperature through its surface axial fans. With this type of cooling, the thermal time constant for this motor model is 45 minutes. The motor may continuously operate for ten minutes at a 44% duty cycle. As long as the motor operates within its ambient temperature range (0–40 °C) and installation level (below 1000 m above m.s.l.), its loading capabilities do not experience de-rating.
