Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDyn A motors are state-of-the-art motors with high continuous ratings majorly used as main and servo drives for all rotary driving tasks. One of the motor types in this family is the MAD air-cooled asynchronous box motor.
The MAD180C-0100-SA-M2-HQ0-35-V1 is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s MAD induction motors. It is a compact motor fitted with thermo-sensitive KTY84-130 type thermal sensors to monitor its temperature and prevent permanent damage caused by overheating. Such damage is also kept at bay by its efficient cooling system, comprising a mounted axial fan. This generates air currents that are guided across the motor’s surface by air baffles. The MAD motor is built with a rated speed of 1,000 revolutions per minute but attains a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute. Its highly durable squirrel-cage rotor reduces energy losses and enhances the motor’s performance.
Thanks to its sealed IP-65-rated design according to IEC 60529, operating the MAD180C-0100-SA-M2-HQ0-35-V1 poses no risks of damage. This means it will not admit solid external materials or water jets sprayed at it from different directions. The motor’s integrated encoder is a multi-turn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface. It maintains the axis position even after the machine is disconnected from power. Its data memory stores relevant motor parameters that ensure the motor’s rapid startup. There are reinforced bearings in this MAD model with A-sided deep-groove ball bearings and an additional cylindrical roller bearing on the output side. They allow the absorption of high radial forces and have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. The MAD motor’s design supports its attachment via foot assembly or flange assembly.
