Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a globally approved brand with diverse solutions for automation challenges. Its MAD asynchronous motors are compact motors with squirrel-cage rotors in its IndraDyn A family. Their applications include food-processing and packaging machines and metal-forming machines.
The MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-HL0-05-N1 is one of the induction motors in the MAD series designed by Bosch Rexroth. Its compact build and frame shape support flanged attachment, while its easy-to-service structure gives it minimal maintenance requirements. It has a single-turn encoder designed to evaluate its position with impressive precision. The data memory in this encoder stores its relevant parameters, ensuring its quick and easy startup. Cooling occurs via an axial mounting fan in the MAD model with air currents guided along its surface by air baffles. It also has sensitive PTC thermal sensors that monitor its temperature and prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload.
Standard-type bearings in the MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-HL0-05-N1 consist of deep-groove ball bearings and are well-suited for absorbing low to medium radial and axial forces. Built to last, they have a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours. The output shaft in the MAD model is the type with keyway in line with DIN 6885-1. As a result, the form-locking transmission of torques with constant direction and low requirements for the shaft-hub connection is guaranteed. Thanks to the black coat covering the motor’s exterior, it is safe from the potentially damaging effects of diluted acids, lyes, water, sewage, and current mineral oils. This paint also displays some resistance to hydraulic oil and organic solvents. The MAD motor generates a maximum torque of 494.2Nm and reaches a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute.
