Product Description
The MAD160C-0200-SA-S2-AG3-05-N1 is an asynchronous squirrel cage motor and a part of the IndraDyn A series introduced by Rexroth Indramat for applications that rely on high efficiency and power. These motors are developed with state-of-the-art technology and compact build to ease incorporation in sophisticated applications such as machine tools, paper-processing machines, and robotics. The '05' in the type code denotes the flange-style mounting of the MAD160C asynchronous motor. This model uses a standard bearing with excellent smoothness. The device is safe to be used in applications that comply with the vibration severity according to DIN EN 60034-14.
The MAD160C model comes with futuristic features such as a single-turn absolute encoder that functions with the EnDat 2.1 interface. The encoder module reads the position of the output shaft with 2048 incremental steps and contributes to the precision of the motor. The MAD160C asynchronous motor ventilation is supported by an axial fan, which operates at a three-phase AC power source. The mean volume flow of the fan is 360 m3/h. The cooling fan operates with a 50/60 Hz frequency and 400/480 nominal voltage. This motor is rated for high-speed operation in modern applications, which is made safer with the provision of 240 Nm electrically released blocking brakes.
This Indramat MAD160C motor allows easy electrical connection with the connectors at side A. The sides are labeled as A, B, right, and left to make it easy. The power is delivered via a plain output shaft sealed with a sealing ring. For the motor to be operated under sealing air, the system pressure should be 1.2… 0.2 bar. The compressed air should be dust-free and oil-free up to the highest extent. Further, the relative humidity is to be in the range of 20 to 30%.
