Product Description
All automation products by Bosch Rexroth are developed by a team of experts and feature cutting-edge technology to simplify work for users. The MAD motors are functional units from the manufacturer with high power density. They are well suited for use in machine tools and metal-forming machines.
The MAD160C-0200-SA-M2-EH1-05-N1 is an asynchronous box motor of the MAD series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a product of the standard oscillating quantity level A, dynamically balanced and compliant with the limits of bearing housing vibrations according to the requirements of EN 60034-14. Its standard bearing consists of deep-groove ball bearings and permits the absorption of low to medium radial and axial forces. Hence, the motor can operate noiselessly and at high speeds. This bearing type also enhances its durability. Another feature of the MAD model that promotes its operational reliability is its squirrel-cage rotor which requires minimal little or no maintenance and contributes to its low noise levels.
A multiturn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface evaluates the position of the MAD160C-0200-SA-M2-EH1-05-N1. It has a supply voltage rating of 7V to 12V and delivers sinusoidal signals. The asynchronous motor is fitted with an electrically-released holding brake of 100Nm torque for holding the axes which have come to a standstill. It also has a plain output shaft without a sealing ring, guaranteeing a non-positive, non-floating shaft-hub connection. For heat dissipation, it uses an air cooling mechanism involving axial fans whose currents are carried by air baffles over the motor’s surface. With a design that meets the IP 65 Ingress Protection rating per EN 60529, its operation under adverse conditions poses minimal risks of damage.
