Product Description
Induction motors, also referred to as asynchronous motors introduced by Rexroth Bosch, are AC electric motors where the current required in the rotor for deceleration is produced through electromagnetic induction by the winding of the stator. Induction motors come in two main types. Single-phase induction motors, typically utilized in a variety of consumer electronics such as fans and blowers are composed of one-phase winding on its stator and a rotor assembly known as the squirrel cage. On the other hand, three-phase induction motors are mostly employed in industrial drives, large pumps or compressors, and fans where there are three phase supply is used and three-phase winding is provided in the stator while the rotor can be a squirrel cage rotor or wound rotor.
MAD160C-0200-SA-M2-AQ0-05-N1 is an asynchronous motor manufactured by the Bosch Rexroth company. Bosch Rexroth is well known for the manufacture of induction motors. MAD160C-0200-SA-M2-AQ0-05-N1 is introduced under the MAD version of induction motors with a pre-determined size and length of 160 and C respectively. The motor frame size is determined from the dimensions of the output flange and shows different kinds of power ranges. It has a winding code, 0200 which indicates its rated speed of 2000 RPM or revolutions per minute.
Like all induction motors from the MAD series, MAD160C-0200-SA-M2-AQ0-05-N1 also uses an axial fan for cooling and temperature regulation. MAD160C-0200-SA-M2-AQ0-05-N1 also contains a Multiturn absolute encoder, EnDat2.1 with 2048 increments. The electrical connections are provided towards side A. The shaft is without a sealing ring and is balanced with the entire key. Holding brakes are not present. Flange mounting along with the standard bearings are present whereas the vibratory severity grade is 9.
