Product Description
The MAD160C-0150-SA-S2-HP0-35-A1 is part of the MAD series Asynchronous motors from Rexroth. This AC servo motor is particularly designed for applications that may generate high amounts of heat and is installed in areas with high ambient temperatures of a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius. To eliminate heat from the internal body of the motor, the MAD160C-0150-SA-S2-HP0-35-A1 features a fan unit installed on the back of the motor cage. This strategic position of the fan allows the motor to suck the air from the rear and pass it through the coil of the motor which may heat up during longer operation periods.
This Asynchronous motor has a winding rating of 0150 and a current rating of 75.3 amperes which may end up producing a lot of heat which is again eliminated with the help of the fan placed at the rear of the motor. The coil can increase its winding resistance from 0.56 ohm to 1.3 ohms when it reaches a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius. This motor has 3 poles or coils that can be excited individually with the same voltage but at different frequencies to adjust its speed and regulate it.
The motor has a rated speed of 1500 rotations per minute which can reach all the way up to 6000 rpm when used with standard type bearings. With re-inforced bearings, this motor can attain a speed of 10000 rotations per minute. After 30000 cycles it is recommended to lubricate the bearings or to replace them entirely for enhanced performance of the motor. If using reinforced bearings, then it is recommended to replace them after 10000 cycles to prevent degradation of the motor components.
