Product Description
The MAD160C-0150-SA-S2-BG0-05-A1 is a powerful and reliable motor that is part of the Bosch Rexroth's MAD series. The motor generation of Rexroth's IndraDyn A comprises robust asynchronous motors which are ideal for use in rotary drive applications. The MAD series is the Blower cooling type which is designed to deliver high power density in a small size. Both the motor and the fan are IP65 rated which means that the motors are suitable for harsh environments, but at the same time are not difficult to maintain, thus reducing the time when the motor has to be out of service. The motor is compatible with IndraDyn drive controllers giving the motor a wide range of uses.
This motor is quite well controlled, and provides information on its condition and rotational speed through a single turn absolute value encoder. It is characterized with a speed capacity of 1500 revolutions per minute and has internal windings with two poles. The motor delivers a decent power with a torque of 215 Nm and the motor takes a current of 75.3 A. With a rated speed of 1500 rpm it has a good rated power of 33. 8 kW. This motor has an axial fan blower for the purpose of cooling as seen from the following figure. This model has flange mounting to make it easy for the user when mounting it. Also, this model does not have a holding brake integrated in its structure.
In use, the motor produces a good amount of heat which must be adequately dissipated in order to avoid overheating and potential damage to the motor windings. As a solution, the motor is fitted with a forced cooling system which comprises a three phase blower which is located on the axial of the motor at the back end. This blower runs on different input power sources thus guaranteeing adequate heat management and motor reliability.
