Product Description
The IndraDyn A series of asynchronous motors is made by the Rexroth Bosch Group. It is specifically designed to support servo drives in applications such as printing machines, paper processing machines food-processing and packaging machines, machine tools, and metal-forming machines. These applications require high-power and high-torque motors. To keep the motor running smoothly for longer durations, these motors have been supplied with two types of cooling modes. The two cooling modes are broken down into two sub-groups, the MAD and MAF series. The MAD series motors feature air-cooled housing while the MAF motors have liquid-cooling option.
The MAD160C-0150-SA-S2-AQ1-35-N1 is an asynchronous motor. This IndraDyn A motor features a flange and foot mounting design. To maintain the ambient temperature, the motor is cooled by means of an axial fan. The shaft of the motor is balanced with entire key and there is s shaft sealing ring as well. The top of the motor features an electrical connection and a front facing connector. The electrically released 80 Nm holding brake is a rarity in such models. The MAD160C-0150-SA-S2-AQ1-35-N1 asynchronous motor is equipped with a standard bearing that helps the motor reach up to 6000 RPM top speed.
Under normal conditions, the asynchronous motor offers a continuous torque of 225 Nm while its continuous current is 77.8 amperes. However, at top speed, the motor delivers maximum torque up to 496 Nm, maximum power of 69.29 kW, and maximum current up to 152.6 amperes. The high-torque motor weighs 238 kg and maintains a smooth sound level that never exceeds 75 dB. The strong winding offers sufficient insulation to comply with the DIN EN 60034-1. That means, the winding can withstand a temperature as high as 150 degree Celsius.
