Bosch Rexroth?s MAD160C-0100-SA-S2-EQ1-05-N1 is an air-cooled asynchronous motor with high continuous performance. This type of motor is suited for use as a main and servo drive for rotary drive tasks in high precision applications. The motor features a frame size of 160 with a length of C. It has an axial fan for surface cooling of the motor in case of extreme loads. The fan can be dismounted for servicing making maintenance easy even during operation. The intuitive design of the motor also features inbuilt thermistors in the windings of the motor to prevent overload damage. The motor comes with IP 65 protection ensuring it can be safely used even in less than ideal environmental conditions.
This motor comes equipped with a high speed standard bearing. It is rated for a nominal speed of 1000 min-1 and maximum speeds of up to 6,000 with bearing type N. The rated current for this unit is 52.9 A while the rated torque is 225.0 Nm. The maximum torque rating for the motor is 530.0 Nm. For optimal performance, the motor should be operated in ambient temperatures ranging from 0 ?C to 40 ?C in altitudes between 0 m to 1000 m above sea level.
The motor comes with a single-turn absolute encoder, 2048 increments for rotor position and speed monitoring. It is fitted with A-side connectors to facilitate the attachment of power cables to the motor. The motor is equipped for flange mounting to facilitate installation. The output shaft on this unit is a shaft with keyway, balanced with entire key. It also comes equipped with an electrically released holding brake to ensure a backlash-free standstill when the motor is powered off.
