Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s energy-efficient MAD motors are asynchronous box motors with high power density and impressive performance. Primarily, they are used as main and servo drives for rotary driving tasks. Their typical applications include printing and paper-processing machines, metal-forming machines, and machine tools.
The MAD160B-0200-SA-M2-AH0-05-N1 is a high-quality MAD servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s Rexroth IndraDyn A series of asynchronous box motors. It is fitted with a plain output shaft without a shaft sealing ring to provide a non-positive, non-floating shaft-hub connection and ensure its smooth and stable operation. This air-cooled motor boasts a squirrel-cage rotor characterized by high efficiency and low maintenance. The rotor’s moment of inertia is 0.2500000 kgm2. Like other MAD models, the motor’s build meets the requirement of the IP 65 protection category according to EN 60529. This means it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to the penetration of water jets sprayed at it from different directions. As a result, it is safe for use in adverse environmental conditions.
Due to its simplified design, the MAD160B-0200-SA-M2-AH0-05-N1 requires minimal maintenance efforts. This design also allows any necessary maintenance work to be performed while the machine is being operated. It is dynamically balanced and meets the limits of bearing housing vibrations according to EN 60034-14 with the standard oscillating quantity level A. The motor’s integrated rotary encoder is a multiturn absolute encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface for the precise detection of its position. Cooling is achieved via axial fans mounted to provide surface cooling, where air baffles guide the currents over the surface of the motor. It reaches a maximum speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute and has two pole pairs.
