Product Description
MAD are series of asynchronous motors developed and designed by Bosch, Rexroth. The manufacturer develops outstanding industrial automation parts utilizing the latest technological trends and standards. The products by Rexroth are robust, dynamic, and durable in the longer run. The MAD series differs from the MAF series by the use of cooling mechanism. The MAD utilizes surface ventilation through fixed fans for its cooling mode while the MAF series employs liquid cooling procedure for protection of overheating damages.
The performance of the MAD motor drives are quiet high partly because of its compact structural dimensions and are best suited for main and servo drives in all rotary tasks. Moreover, the design is equipped with International Protection Standards of IP-65, this high protection makes the motor suitable for operating in poor environmental conditions. The given motors require very less maintenance and due to its design the maintenance can be done in operation mode too. It can be used in diverse industrial purposes i.e. robotics, machine tools, packaging and food machines and forming machines. The controlling and supervising then function of the motors can achieved by the use of additional sensors and actuators. Prior to commissioning the motor for specified task, the motor drive controller be programmed accordingly.
The part number, MAD160B-0150-SA-S2-HH0-35-N1 contains all the necessary information about the motor. The cooling mode in this motor is via axial fan blowing denoted by symbol SA. The encoder may be single turn absolute value encoder STG. The electrical power connection is to the side B of the motor with the shaft having no sealing ring and is a plain shaft. The motor is not equipped with holding brake and its bearing is of standard type.
