This motor requires 169 volts AC to 480 volts AC to operate with a 3-phase input requirement, while the current draw under rated conditions is 55.6 Amperes. The power supply module for this motor should be capable of supplying at least 55.6 Amperes of current and should match the power rating of this motor of 29.1 kW.
To mount this servo motor, the MAD160B-0150-SA-S2-AH0-35-N1 can be mounted using both foot and flange type mounting options, allowing this motor to be used with various types of machines and applications. This motor comes with an IP 65 protection rating to keep it protected against dust and moisture. It also includes a shaft seal ring to prevent lubrication oil from spilling out of the enclosure chamber. The motor is designed to be installed at a maximum height of 1000 meters above sea level, as failing to meet these conditions would cause the motor to operate in derated conditions, limiting the output rotor speed to just 500 rpm.
To help with shaft position tracking, the MAD160B-0150-SA-S2-AH0-35-N1 comes with a single-turn absolute encoder offering a resolution of 2048 steps per revolution. This encoder requires 5 to 12 volts DC to operate and uses an EnDat 2.1 encoder communication interface to send and receive data from the motor control module. This communication interface is full duplex. The encoder and power supply connection ports are conveniently placed on the front side of the motor for easy access.
