Product Description
The Rexroth Bosch's MAD160B-0150-SA-M2-EP0-35-N1 is an industrial motor designed for use in different industries. There are several distinctive features of this motor. Two of them are plain shaft balanced with an entire key and multi-turn absolute encoder with 2048 increments denoted by M2. The plain shaft has a round and smooth surface, to ensure firm connection or coupling with other components. This plain shaft is designed to ensure that it rotates without vibration. A key is a small piece of metal, whose cross section is like a groove ensuring a solid connection of shaft.
During its operation, the balanced shaft reduces vibrations during operation. This reduces wear and tear of the motor and the other components connected to it. It increases the life of the motor. It is important to use the multi-turn absolute encoder with 2048 increments for positioning of the shaft of the motor. Single-turn encoders cannot keep track of the position along rotations, however, multi-turn encoders can do this easily. This means they can measure the shaft's position even when the motor has been switched off. It converts the mechanical position of the shaft into electrical signals. It does this by using different sensors to locate the position at each step of the shaft revolution.
The encoder with the 2048 increments shows that the encoder is dividing the turns of the shaft to equal little steps of 2048. A plain shaft with a multi-turn absolute encoder enhances the performance of the motor. The balanced shaft causes less vibration and minimal mechanical losses in various operations. Multi-turn absolute encoder is used to provide accurate position information that enables the motor to operate in harsh industrial conditions.
